My name is Erin Stewart (Van Diemen) and I am a 2nd year Teacher Candidate at UNBC. I live in Quesnel BC and I have worked in the Quesnel School District for the past 10 years as an Education Assistant! I have always loved working with children and teaching has always been my dream so I’m really looking forward to getting into the classrooms and starting to build relationships.

I am currently working on my Bachelor of General Studies through Thompson Rivers University as well as my Bachelor of Education Program through UNBC. I am focusing on a primary school setting but am also excited to try other grades as well!

I have always wanted to become a teacher and I have the utmost respect for educators. This is not an easy job by no means but it is inspiring and rewarding! With many years already in classrooms, I truly feel I am an advocate for inclusive opportunities in education and I am very passionate about whole child learning. I am looking forward to transferring that passion onto my students and inspire engagement into their learning!

“The value of things is not the time that they last, but the intensity

               moments and irreplaceable people”

Snapshots

I am passionate about exploring and adventure! I enjoy the outdoors and love spending time on back trails searching for waterfalls. I love being out on the water especially fishing and kayaking. These pictures represent who I am today as an educator, mother, sister, daughter and life partner. This is only a small glimpse of where I have been but a huge portion of the person that I am.
